A piano melody introduced and backed by 6 choir voices, along with a string quartet.(Pizzicato contrabass, cello, viola, and violin).

Peaceful countryside.

Oops, could afford only 3 voices in this piece of Fugue. Part of the main motif from the Canada anthem is borrowed to make roughly 5% of this composition. It is just about the author’s impression during his recent visit to this huge country. The piece was “born” 4 months ago as a bookmark of the stay.

The harp in the middle section is tuned to the Arabian scale, which I think makes it sound more interesting.

This suite combines the chanting of the Torah, a particular section relating to the 12 Tribes of Israel, with an original electronic jazz suite riffing off of the sounds and melodies, including the traditional prayer of one called up to the Torah.

Music that came to my heart when i was walking in the night.

Useing a Ensoniq ESQ-80 keyboard with extended memory as a workstation to write main midi tracks. Exclusive comand data transfer to Calkwalk for multi midi track tweeking then save to midi. Assigning Soundfont, Wave and VST synth voiceing and double tracking through Synthfont. Save individual tracks to individual wave files 32bit. Open wave files multi-track into Adobe Audition, edit each track with compression, EQ, volume stageing and effects then multi track volume enveloping and final mix down, EQ, compression, etc. to single wave file.

A symphony in the early classical style. Orchestrated for 2 oboe, 2 horns and strings. 1. Allegro 2. Adagio 3. Menuetto 4. Allegro molto.

Taken from Lamentations this Instrumental was written for all intents and purposes for a vocal track to follow once production is finished. This piece revolves around the 1st chapter 3rd and 4th verses of Lamentations, the poetic prophesy of Israel's downfall. It is very dark, a composition consisting of a foreseeing of desolation and destitution as Israel abandons her God and as she begins reaping the consequences.

This is an instrumental black / doom metal piece, performed live for the guitar and keyboard parts. The drums are programmed in Guitar Pro.

I am talking about my 13-year-old son’s feeling about this year of 2011 (thus the title). Actually, there was a difficult conversation between him (represented by flute) , my wife (piano) and me (nylon string guitar). He resisted, with full hesitation, to the big change of the family in 2011 that we are planning. He said he would not afford suffering events and activities. Finally, he proved to be recalled to determination after a while thinking out of the box with full mind relaxation. This piece was composed during the last hours of 2010.

This is a composition I wrote for a Freshman band to perform. It is about the first experience of going to an amusement park.

0'00 - 1'50 Longing for the bohemian life that once was (F# minor). 1'51 - 3'54 Allusions: French Romantic poetry (A minor): Lamartine's lake (1'51 - 2'45) ; Hugo's autumn leaves (2'46 - 3'13). 3'55 - 5'26 Struggling with the "much too real" world (D# minor). Violent tonal contrast to the previous section. The modulational scheme, F# minor - A minor - D# minor, as relevant subset, suggests an F# Dorian superior mode, underlying structure which, in my opinion, adds a sense of suspension between two worlds (the real one and the inner reverie world), just as the Dorian mode stands at the borders of major and minor modal areas.

To me innocence is like a child's purity. This great example of absolute music can also represent a playful child exploring new places, playing in the pond, and chasing bugs.

Tone poem that depicts traveling through a storm through music. A techno storm.

Recorded on yamaha keyboard first chords then melody,then bass. All recordings played live then overdubbed,then midi file transferred to fl studio to use soundfonts from the latter,a minimal amount of editing done on song in cuebase,more in fl studio.

The final movement for a symphony in classical style - my work of the last 3 months. The structure is: Exposition 0:00, Development 4:46, Recapitulation 6:09, Coda 10:16 The exposition is very bright whereas the development is more a kind of mystical and passionate. Please read the SCORE.

This piece follows a series of events in the life of a soldier departing for battle. Movement one begins with the hero, represented here by the cello, spending time with his wife (flute) and children for the last time before he leaves. His wife begs him not to go, but he must, and they share a final embrace before he goes. Movement two is like a camera moving over a large battlefield. The enemy is the first to make preparations, then the camera moves over the field to where the allies are ready to fight. Movement three is the battle itself with the hero being represented by the adventurous french horn. He encounters all sorts of enemies who fight with different tactics: finesse, brute force, quick movements, etc. He fights alone or with his comrades in arms at different points. He becomes injured but fights on to victory empowered by thoughts of his family constantly racing through his mind.

This is written in G major which is a good key for the guitar because it it gives plenty of scope for the use of open strings e natural harmonics.

A very melancholic but dynamic piece of music. Overture with slow Romantic harmonic and melodic movements as well as dramatic counterpoint and fugato themes. It is written out of a few basic building blocks which form the foundation of the composition.

Symphonic study.

When the choir comes in again at 2:16 they’ll be singing the following words if I can ever get this performed. “The night is falling on my end please don’t shed a tear for me my friend you were the reason to trudge on please don’t think of me-e once I’ve gone I can’t im-a-gine a world without you smi-l-ing and if you should think of me remember how much I loved you" Although I never thought of it from an innocent perspective til now, I have submitted this for the Innocence theme contest. The broken heart from one's first love is the most innocent and helpless kind of pain a person can feel.

The Innocence of a sleeping child.

I thought this piece I've been working on would be great for this month’s theme contest. The piece begins as an impending doom approaches a ceremony in an ancient city. The attackers come without warning and obliterate the city. Just as quickly as they came, the attackers leave behind the ruined city. As those who survive return from shelter, they discover their homes destroyed, their loved ones dead, and unify to mourn their loss. Enjoy!

Sequencer: Cakewalk. SoundFont: I dont know. This is my first work for full orchestra it was partly inspired by my new niece Jewel and so it is named after and dedicated to her. Woodwinds dominate this piece in parts. The theme is used throughout in various ways, sometimes blatantly, sometimes hidden. I am currently working on the 2nd movement which will be quite different thematically although it will have some of the same elements as the first. I just found this composers forum and this is my first submission. Seems like a great site. I look forward to any comments as well as listening to what people have submitted.

For the first movement of this symphony for strings and woodwinds, I have used an altered sonata form to portray the broken illusions of the idealist. In my vision, this is described allegorically by the legend of Phaeton, who asked from his father, Helios, the sun god, to let him drive the sun chariot for one day; he was unable to control the fierce horses and got scared by the constellation of Scorpio, close to the end of his journey, and fell into the river Eridanus. Thus, this story depicts perfectly how illusions can be brutally destroyed from a great altitude. Now, to this movement's structure: Exposition (0'00 - 4'20) - main theme in G minor to set the general atmosphere of the piece; - secondary theme in B flat major: high hopes and dreams, shattered by the parallel minor and by the retransition to the main theme. Development (4'21 - 8'03) - the tumultuous path to fulfilment, islanded with memories of the endangered illusions. Digression (8'04 - 9'29) - in E minor and C# minor: reflection on the essence of hope. Recapitulation (9'30 - 11'19) - after the reoccurence of the main theme, the secondary one is now transposed to the home key, G minor, to describe the return of illusions into the realm of deserted hopes. Coda (11'20 - 11'50)

This composition represents the feelings that overcome you when fallen to love. Motion is easily represented by the constant shifting of emotion that is released when witnessed. The Emotion is not just your average film movie emotion but MUCH more in all region, which is why it may seem too dark in some places. The vision that is set to this scene is moving mountains.

The piece is supposed to portray the crazy ride with an untamed horse. I am extremely excited that I've FINALLY recently figured out how to create pdf files from my Finale program! This song was actually composed for my wife and is my first composition using any kind of music writing software. Having been a long time fan of Windham Hill and Narada music (George Winston, Paul Winter, etc..), I wanted to write something that spoke to nature so opted to go with a simple orchestration of flute, guitar, violin and viola. It is a belief that the Buddhist and Sanskrit ritual chants are traditionally performed to redirect the souls of the dead to the right way. A woodblock (as a percussion), is always used to rhythm the chants performance in variant velocity and reverberation levels. Why this ballade? This is my true story: I stood right there in front of the dead body of a very close friend of mine, listening to the ritual chant performed by 2 Buddhist nuns in incredible 7 hours running. There was an unexplainable feeling of deep sadness ravaging my heart. My friend left me in fully complicated meditation, then a melody came up to my mind...

Sequencer: Sibelius. SoundFont: None. This is song about a place in Malaysia named Tapah Road. I wrote it in sonata and it tell a story about the journey along the way in Tapah Road as one of the oldest railway train in Malaysia.

This piece is just meant as a bit of a joke really. It's very difficult to play though. If you listen very carefully, you may even hear one or two "bum" notes.

This is a concert etude for piano that I've named "The Dark Forest". It was inspired by the thought of getting lost in a dark forest and the journey that would be taken as you navigate your way through begging to see the light. Although it is a technical study, It is definitely also a solo performance piece. The main technical focus of this etude is touch. The piece demands that you have a relaxed, legato, and heavy touch as well as a light and delicate touch in order to comfortably control the musical phrasing and the difficult arpeggiated figures between each hand while still bringing the melody out as the primary voice at all times.

This is a short piece serving as an overture. It is meant to depict escape from harms way to freedom.

Sequencer: Finale. SoundFont: None. This piece is in the style of Romantic piano sonatas, where the form was starting to become less strict. As I was writing, I wanted to keep it simple, in technicality and in chord progression. The opening is a fast and mystical sounding, with it's unique chord progressions, while the andante section in the middle is simple and heroic. [ EMAIL NOT CONFIRMED ]
