The Long Road Home by Seth Holiday (2007-01-29)
MidiEngine: Synthfont. Sequencer: Sibelius. MidiFont: Merlin Grand. This is a simplistic style composed for a marimba, vibraphone, and piano trioEven though it only uses 2 chords, for the whole piece, I still think it is 1 of the most interesting pieces I composed, and fits quite well with the theme Obsession.

Berlin by Antonio Martinez (2009-01-19)
Some of the melody was hand-written, but most of it was typed via Sibelius. Sequencer: Voyetra. MidiFont: None. A modern variation on Matthew 4:1-11. The story begin with the main character riding on a river in Berlin, where he falls asleep and becomes engulfed in a dream. The dream takes him to fabled Olympiastadion, where all the action occurs. The devil awaits him to undergo a series of test to try his faith, just as Satan attempted to try Jesus' faith in Matthew. But in the end, Satan cannot succeed, and the main character succeeds, at which time he wakes up and begins to realize what he must do to achieve redemption. The music of Berlin is primiarly based on music from Mozart, Offenbach, Bach and Kalinnikov, as references of a barcarolle, badinerie, nocturne and march should be noted. [ PLEASE, CONFIRM EMAIL ]

Makhachkala by Antonio Martinez (2009-01-19)
Studying Russian works, such as Lyapunov's Lezginka and video game music. Sequencer: Voyetra. MidiFont: None. The war for humanity and for the dignity of the human culminates on the Black Sea. Here, our heroes fight in an important war to combat against lethal opposition, who sole purpose is to destory the dignity of women. These heroes fought many battles, but none will be as important as the final battle at Makhachkala. The music is primarily based on two types of music. In the opening portion, the theme is an arrangement with a twist of music from Goldeneye (video game), while the second half is based on Lyapunov's Lezginka (Transcendental Etudes). Other references from Hadyn and Grieg are incorporated. [ PLEASE, CONFIRM EMAIL ]

Atonal Rift by Seth Holiday (2006-08-25)
MidiEngine: SBLive. Sequencer: Sibelius. MidiFont: None. This is a 12 tone based song composed for a string orchestra. In addition to that, the song also happens to be in a 13/8 meter counted as 3,3,2,3,2. I got the idea from Symphony number 3, I by Gorecky This piece really just started out as an experiment in which I had no idea how it would turn out yet ended up sounding very interesting and dramatic. This could depict a frightened child home alone and not being able to fall asleep ald the longer he tries, the more frightened he becomes.

Rhythmic Recessional by Dave Albrecht (2007-01-15)
MidiEngine: Audigy + Synthfont. Sequencer: Personal Composer. MidiFont: Jeux/SCO/Jeux1.4. Recessional is organlanguage for intermezzo. This particular piece exlpoits various rhythms that have their own harmonies and melodies tied into it, yet at the same time forms one finished whole. With every pattern there is a specific registration (stop combination) wich ranges from swell foundations to recit expressif" to the larger divisions to the complete fanfare division with a solo role for the trompette en chamade and the Divine Trumpet '8.
