Symphony In C-minor, Scherzo by Gerd Prengel (2004-12-02)
In May 2002 I submitted a symphonic Scherzo based on sketched themes (24 bar main theme and 7 bar Trio theme) from Beetoven's planned tenth symphony. Recently I made some important improvements in the instrumentation, so I dare to submit the piece again. It is quite a wild and furious music and should be heard with full volume.
I used Merlin_grand12 for the MP3 file which to me fits better for this piece than Merlin Gold. So I recommend to listen to the MP3 if you don't have Merlin_grand12.

Symphonic Choral by Gerd Prengel (2005-03-22)
MidiEngine: SurReal. Sequencer: MusicTime. MidiFont: Merlin grand12. This is a symphonic choral which should be submitted for last month's Bach theme contest, but I couldn't finish it on time. The solemn choral theme is introduced by the celli and then gradually overtaken by the other strings and finally by the whole orchestra. This is followed by a fugato. The movement ends jubilantly resuming the choral theme from the beginning. Must be played with Merlin_grand12 (with Merlin Gold the strings in the first part do not have the neccessary softness, I would even recommend to listen to the MP3 file with one improvement in the fugato part)
